Filmed in May 2026, this 90-second video explores movement and life in Morocco’s capital city through skateboarding, set to the sounds of Gnawa and Afro-jazz artist Majid Bekkas, who was born in Salé, Morocco, just across the Bou Regreg, which is visible in the background of certian shots.
Filmed in August 2023, this video was created to commemorate the last summer our group of neighborhood friends would be together before separating for university. Shot on a broken Sony VX2000, it's unpolished at best, but remains dear to my heart, representing a quintessential ethos of growing up in Minneapolis.
